Don't we have any values or morals left within us to be even called a HUMAN !!
I know after reading this you will definately think that what is it all about to be called so much HUMAN for, so i would like to clear it before you even read it further. I wrote HUMAN, as i believe that Only we HUMANs can express "something hurts" and only we HUMANs can understand it..
Here is the incident..
Train was late for 2.5 hours and so many were lying on the railway station or sitting on Benches waiting for it. There was an old man who was just seeing the faces of each and every person there. Everyone was ignoring him thinking that he might be a beggar and may ask for some money.
Old man went to one person sitting on a bench,as soon as this person saw him he interrupted him.. "jao baba... aage jao... kuch nahi hai mere pas...". Old man saw him for a minute with a pitty on his face. Old man moved to next the person who was sitting next on the bench, saying "ek min sun lo beta...". But he got the same kind of reply from the other person too.
Old man was holding a torch in his hand, which was open from top. He went to a person sitting on another bench nearby, showing him that torch. This person started shouting on him.."Nahi chahiye, samajh nahi aata kya...??"
Everyone there was thinking that Old man is either mad or wanted some money. No body cared to ask him the problem. After some half an hours trial he found one person who atleast bothered to listen to him. There was a problem with his torch and he wanted someone to look on what the problem was. But as our INDIA is too great, people cant help others until there is some profit. This great person started to push him away and started laughing at old man's need.
Poor Man, took his torch from him and started moving away. He was crying at his fate, banging his head that no one in this BIG WORLD helps. No one has any feelings. He was cursing himself for this life, his old age and his weak eyes.
Suddenly one Labour working at the railway station asked the Old man what happened. The old man showed him the torch and told him that it was not working. The Labour guy fixed it in a minute. The batterys in the torch were not placed correctly so it was not working. The old man gave so many blessings to that Labour Guy.
I just wanted to put forward this story to ask everyone of us..
"Can't we take out even one minute from our lives to help the poor and needy?
"Have we lost all our Humanity?"
"Don't we have any feelings left?"
"Is only greed left within us that until we get some profit out of something we dont think about helping anyone?"
"Are we just left with "GIVE AND TAKE" in life? "
If this is all we think and do..
"Why we call us MATURE?"
"Why we call ourselves HUMANs !!!"
very true ...
